Dr Alkanan offers leading expertise and proven experience in all aspects of periodontics, implant surgery, IV sedation, complex bone and soft tissue regeneration and laser periodontics (LANAP). Dr. Alkanan obtained his dental degree from the University of Manchester England in 2010 then went on to receive his certificate and master’s degree in periodontics from the University of Louisville in Kentucky under leadership of Dr Henry Greenwell who is considered one of the world’s leading figures of periodontics and implant dentistry. The intense residency training involved treating the most complex case types, and included advanced training in bone and soft tissue grafting, microsurgery, prosthodontics, anesthesia, sedation, and the treatment of various oral pathologies. He is one of a handful of periodontists in the state with his superior level of specialized training. He has participated in multiple scientific studies and articles, including peer reviewed journals. Dr. Alkanan has also completed some of the most advanced continuing education courses in the world taught by some of the world’s most advanced clinicians. Dr Alkanan is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology (the highest level attainable for the specialty in the United States), is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology and The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. In his free time, Dr alkanan enjoys working out and playing soccer as well as chasing around his 2 kids.
